Before sealing the tray with foil, a gas flushing device replace the current atmosphere inside the tray by a gas mixture and/or vacuum. The AMTEC tray sealer is particularly interesting for products from the food industry, as the modified atmosphere ensures that the food remains fresh and has a longer shelf life.
