The VCPevo / VCP Evolution (often written VCPevolution”) is a fully automatic register punching & bending system for printing plates (offset printing) built by NELA.
VCP” stands for: Video‐recognition of register marks (V) + Controlling via CCD image processing (C) + Positioning by stepping motor control (P) — as one brochure puts it.
The machine is used in the pre‐press / printing-plate automation sector: it aligns exposed printing plates, punches the register holes, bends the plates (to the correct angle) in one cycle.
The VCPevolution line is described as the new generation” of the VCP series, aimed at U51258834 high precision, high throughput, integration into automation / plate sorting lines.
