TERMETAL T6MX2-8-750 induction furnace was built in 2004 in Poland. It is an extremely versatile machine designed for the heat treatment of metals. The machine is specially designed for the continuous, crosswise heating of S49 and S60 steel rails. It also enables the heating of metal charges of various shapes and the execution of other processes that require high power. Charges are heated by means of high-frequency current. The AC current flowing through the primary coil creates an alternating magnetic field around the charge. This field in turn induces electromagnetic forces in the secondary circuit, causing the charge to heat up. AGEING OVEN FOR ALUMINUM EXTRUSIONS The aging furnaces are used in the aluminium profile industry for the elimination of internal stresses of aluminum materials after extrusion and for hardening them. The ovens are custom designed as batch type with high speed ventilation and high efficiency in order to achieve needed hardness demand on the aluminum work pieces. Motion of the batches is done by a ground trolley or a ground conveyor system. The oven door could be an automatic guillotine type or manual hinged door. The whole process is PLC controlled, data logging option is an advantage during the operation. Electricity, liquid or gas fuel is used for heating the ovens. It was originally operated vertically as a downpipe furnace. A horizon-wide use is of course also possible. The structure is clear: It is a nearly 6m long truss-like frame, on which six oven case elements are attached. These are hinged and inside runs the almost 6m long pipe made of Kanthal APM.
