The full gripping force according to the data table may only be
achieved after a few 100 gripping cycles.
Dimensions and max. loads
The specified moments and forces are static values, apply to each base
jaw and may occur simultaneously. The loads may occur in addition to
the moment generated by the gripping force.
General information on the series
Gripping force
is the arithmetic sum of the single force acting on each cheek, at a
distance P (see drawing)
The length of the fingers
is measured from the same reference surface as the distance P in the
direction of the main axis. The maximum permissible finger length is
valid until the nominal operating pressure is reached. At higher
pressures, the finger length shall be reduced in proportion to the
nominal operating pressure.
Repeatability
is defined as the dispersion of the final position at 100 consecutive
strokes.
The workpiece weight
is determined by force adhesion with a static friction coefficient of
0.1 and a safety of 2 against slipping of the workpiece during
gravitational acceleration. The positive fit results in significantly
higher permissible workpiece weights.
Closing and opening hours
are pure movement times of the base jaws without application-specific
gripper fingers. Valve switching times, hose filling times or PLC
reaction times are not included and must be taken into account when
determining cycle times.
