ALPHA LASER ALM 300 laser welding machine was built in 2007 in Germany
by ALPHA LASER GmbH. The machine is used for the precision welding of
workpieces that require high accuracy, i.e. moulds, dies, tools and
machine parts. The process involves spot fusing of the material by
means of a concentrated laser beam with high energy density. This
solution makes it possible to obtain highly accurate and robust welds
with reduced thermal distortion at the same time.
ALPHA LASER ALM 300 is equipped with a movable work head, which
enables convenient operation even in hard-to-reach areas of the
workpiece. The operator controls its position in the X,Y,Z axis by
means of a joystick located on the machine arm. The welding process
parameters are entered from the membrane keyboard panel or by means of
a multifunctional foot switch control. The ALPHA LASER ALM laser beam
welding machine weighs approximately 320 kg.
