Typical application

The RB20 series is designed for cold bending of one or more bends on pipes

It is used in industries such as the automotive industry, furniture manufacturing or plant engineering, where precise series bending is required.


Technical features and function

Type: ROSENBERGER RB20 (built in 2003)
Performance & geometry: Servo-electric precision drive with a cold bending capacity of max. Ø 20 x 1.5 mm in steel. High flexibility due to freely selectable bending planes within the 78 mm tool height as well as generous 3-axis travel paths (X/Y/Z: 260 × 146 × 1,170 mm)
Control technology: The logical processing is carried out via a robust Siemens Simatic S7-300 PLC, paired with an industrial control panel from B&R
Robot automation: Fully automatic handling (loading/unloading) by means of an integrated Motoman industrial robot including XRC control and the associated teach-in terminal for web programming. The removal is carried out reliably via a discharge conveyor belt.
Marking system (modernized in 2021):A modern high-performance VideoJet 1860 inkjet encoder (built in 2021) with microprocessor control allows product marking (e.g. batch numbers or barcodes) directly after the bending process
System safety & peripherals: CE-compliant protection via a SICK safety light barrier and a circumferential safety fence system. Visual status display via rotating beacon as well as all associated control cabinets and system accessories
