FRAMECAD TF550 roll forming line was built in 2009 in New Zealand by
Framecad Solutions Ltd. This state-of-the-art and compact TF series
(Truss and Frame) production line is an excellent choice for the mass
production of fabricated solutions for the residential and commercial
buildings. This is because the FRAMECAD TF550 enables the production
of C- and U-type cold-formed profiles in various sizes (150 mm as
standard), used as rafters, trusses and steel structures in a wide
range of building projects.
The entire production cycle is fully automatic. The strip, with a
maximum thickness of 1.6 mm, is uncoiled from the coil towards the
workspace, where it is machined by means of a special roll forming
system. The profiles are accurately formed, cut, punched, dimpled and
marked, making them ready for simple assembly with screws.
The machine is operated via a touchscreen panel with an intuitive
interface that significantly simplifies the daily work of the
operator. Thanks to the full integration of advanced design software
with the controller, the FRAMECAD roll forming line is one of the most
intelligent building systems on the market. The installed FRAMECAD
Factory software is fully networkable, which maximises productivity
and enables remote diagnostics.
The FRAMECAD TF 550 profiling machine uses FrameMaster manufacturing
equipment, which extends the machine’s machining capabilities. It
provides the following benefits:
1. special truss tools – enables the production of stronger roof and
floor trusses, as well as speeds up assembly and reduces material
usage
2. pre-punched fastening holes – ensures quick, easy and accurate
assembly, while minimising labour costs
3. fastening holes dimpled – ensures that screws lie flush with the
surface of the studs, and the dimples assist in eliminating the need
for jig assembly tables
4. swaged ends – ensures that studs sit precisely in the track,
achieving full load transfer in multi-level buildings and modular
structures to provide strength and reliability
5. notched lips – ensures that studs are easy to fit within track
6. punched web holes – ensures that studs pass through horizontal
blocking
7. service holes punched – allows preparations for the assembly of
electrical and plumbing installations
8. individual marking – ensures clear and concise assembly according
to markings
